Overview:

The Ronald Reagan Corridor Planning project, included in Williamson County’s Long-Term Transportation Plan, encompasses five projects along the existing Ronald Reagan Boulevard spanning from RM 2243 to I-35. With the completion of the five segments, Ronald Reagan Boulevard would be an eight-land controlled-access roadway.

The 5 Segments of the Ronald Reagan Corridor Planning Project are:

  1. Segment A (RM 2243 and SH 29): This segment is 3.7 miles of roadway between RM 2243 and SH 29. LJA Engineering is working on planning for the roadway and expects to have planning complete by Spring 2023. There is currently no funding for construction. 2. Segment B (SH 29 and north of FM 3405): This segment is 7 miles of roadway between SH 29 and north of FM 3405. This segment includes making the existing road northbound only and building separate two lanes to act as a second frontage road, which will be southbound only. Both roads will include turn lanes at intersections and shoulders. The engineer, CP&Y, is working on designing the roadway and expect it will be finalized by spring 2023. Construction is expected to begin summer 2023 and be completed by late 2025. *This is the only portion of the Ronald Reagan Corridor Planning project that has construction funding.
