Thomas came to practice law later in life, following many years as an entrepreneur and businessman. Thomas, his wife, Colleen, and their four children lived in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains of Colorado for many years, but in 2004, chose to make the move to the Blanco River in Wimberley, Texas. Their four children all graduated from the Austin Waldorf School and have now all graduated from college.
