Attorney and Counselor
Chris has a long history of serving Texas landowners and resolving both personal and commercial disputes over his 25 years of experience as a general litigation attorney. Chris provides astute legal counsel in a wide variety of matters; including real estate agreements, contract disputes, and eminent domain. When called upon, his success as a general litigator has allowed him to counsel over 30 cases as first chair in both civil and criminal matters.
Along with his reputable legal career, Chris has also found his passion in representing Texans through his active political service. After a prior seat as a Houston City Council Member in the late 1990’s, Chris was elected in 2002 to the U.S. House of Representatives, representing Texas, District 25. He later became the Democratic nominee for Governor of Texas in 2006.
His unique legal and political knowledge allows Chris an in-depth perspective on Texas laws, state agencies, and successfully representing his clients through legal resolution.
