The RM 2222 and RM 620/Bullick Hollow Road intersection in northern Travis County experiences significant congestion. A TxDOT study shows by 2020, travel times will increase by 40 to 59 percent within the corridor from RM 620 to Ribelin Ranch Drive. Therefore, we need to add travel capacity to improve mobility. The analysis of proposed improvements indicates the travel times today could be reduced by about 60 percent. This change will help maintain safe access to and from the schools located north of RM 2222 off McNeil Drive.

Proposed Improvements

The RM 2222 from Bonaventure Drive to Ribelin Ranch Drive project consists of adding a through-travel lane eastbound from Bonaventure Drive to Sitio Del Rio Boulevard and westbound from Ribelin Ranch Drive to Sitio Del Rio Boulevard. Turn lanes and raised medians would be build within the project limits

Texas has been aggressively acquiring private land through condemnation for transportation projects across the state to accommodate the needs of a growing population. If you have been contacted by TxDOT or any of their representatives, please contact us immediately. The important thing to remember is that even if you’ve received a letter in the mail from a condemnation entity informing you of their intentions, this does not mean that it’s a done deal. There are many ways to influence the condemnation process to ensure that your wants and needs are met, but it’s important that you involve knowledgeable professionals that can help guide you through the process.
