Overview

The Corridor I-2 Planning and Right-of-Way (ROW) Preservation Study proposes corridors between US 183 and SH 29 and is part of the Williamson County Long-Range Transportation Plan. The study is being funded through the voter-approved 2019 Road Bond. Funding for ROW acquisition and construction was not included in the bond and will need to be identified before future phases of the project can move forward.

A final alignment was approved by the Commissioners Court in August 2022. The project team will move forward with schematic design as the next step. There is no funding for construction, nor is there a need to build the road at this time, so there is no construction timeline associated with the study.
