Overview

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is proposing a planned access roadway in the central part of Williamson county as an alternative north/south transportation corridor to the IH 35. The plan for East Wilco Highway Corridor E is made up of four, north-south segments starting at I-35 north of Jarrell and ending at U.S. 79 through Precincts 3 and 4  segments with this plan having a focus on Corridor E.

Proposed Improvements

• Determine current and anticipated traffic levels to provide reliable transportation as the county continues to grow.
• Provide alternative north/south transportation corridor to IH-35.

Anticipated Next Steps:

• Surveying has been completed.
• The WilCo Bond Package funding will support right-of-way acquisition and construction for each section.
