viognierFeaturing Hand-Picked Wines:

Wines have been specially selected for the What Every Landowner Needs to Know to Protect Your Ranch, Family, and Legacy program, and will include 2 reds and 1 white:

Prairie Rotie 2012 (red): This Rhone-style blend was produced from grapes grown on the sundrenched prarie, “Praire Rotie”, of the Texas Hill Country and aged in new American oak barrels. The wine is a blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, Syrah and Petite Syrah. Expect tastes of red fruit and subtle hints of chocolate.

Claret 2011 (red): This award winning classic Bordeaux blend was carefully matured in French & American oak barrels. Fruit for this vintage was proudly grown by three heroic and determined women of Texas High Plains. It is a rich, bold and complex wine that produces essences of raspberry, chocolate and spice.

Viognier 2012 – Texas (white): Aromatics reminiscent of violets and flavors of peach and nectarine. This wine was cold ferminted and has well balanced fruit, acid and tannin. Grapes for the Becker Vineyards Viognier were grown in the Bingham and Reddy Vineyards.

Baked QuailHors D’Oeuvres from My Own Chef:

Local, Fredericksburg catering company, My Own Chef designed this elegant menu of hot and cold hor d’ouvres to pair with Becker’s special wines:
