About Steve

Steve graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University School of Law and began his legal career practicing real estate law and corporate finance at the Dallas branch of the international mega-firm Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer & Feld. While in Dallas, he served on the Board of Directors of the Dallas Bar Association and was chairman of its Legal Ethics Committee, among other civic activities.

After 13 years, the last eight as a partner, Steve felt the need for a change of pace, resigned his partnership, and joined the Dallas County Public Defender’s Office for a year.  After that, he kept his focus on representing individuals and small businesses, not corporations.  He continued to practice real estate law but branched out into probate, estate planning, and helping small and medium-sized business owners with their legal issues – such as organizing limited liability companies.
