Whitewater Midstream, an Austin-based company, is partnering with MPLX, Enbridge, and Targa Resources to develop a 42-inch diameter pipeline that will span approximately 365 miles. This pipeline is expected to transport up to 2.5 billion cubic feet of gas per day (Bcf/d) and is supported by firm transport agreements with Devon Energy, Diamondback Energy, and Marathon Petroleum. The final investment decision (FID) for the project was reached on July 31, 2024, marking a significant milestone in moving the development forward.
Proposed Improvements
- Purpose is to enhance natural gas transportation from the Permian Basin in West Texas to Agua Dulce hub in South Texas
- Will alleviate existing capacity constraints in the Permian
