Brandon Knighton

Attorney & Counselor

About Brandon

Brandon Knighton represents landowners and property owners across Texas in real estate transactions, disputes, and litigation, bringing more than six years of legal experience to Braun & Gresham. His practice is focused on helping clients protect, preserve, and maximize the use of their property, from resolving complex title and boundary disputes, to guiding them through commercial and residential real estate transactions.

Before joining Braun & Gresham, Brandon served as an associate attorney with McMahon Surovik Suttle, PC, where he represented clients in civil litigation involving real estate, construction, and contract disputes. He also advised businesses on corporate formation, governance, and transactions, and guided clients through the full lifecycle of property deals, drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, easements, leases, and other critical documents. Earlier in his career, he gained valuable transactional experience as a legal intern with Carpenter & Croft, PLLC, assisting title companies, utility cooperatives, and financial institutions with general counsel services.

Brandon’s approach to representing clients is grounded in clarity, communication, and strategy. He helps landowners fully understand their legal and factual landscape, outlining their options, potential outcomes, and associated risks. Once a course of action is chosen, Brandon becomes a trusted advocate, guiding clients through each step of the process and fighting to achieve their goals. He is particularly passionate about helping clients resolve real estate disputes so they can continue to enjoy and protect their land for generations to come.

Brandon earned his Juris Doctor from Baylor University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business.

As a native Texan, Brandon’s deep connection to the state’s land, water, and wildlife is what drives his work. He believes that protecting property is about more than just ownership, it’s about preserving a legacy, supporting communities, and safeguarding the natural resources that make Texas special. His clients value his creative problem-solving skills, integrity, strong work ethic, and ability to deliver thoughtful, business-minded solutions.

Brandon is a member of the Austin Bar Association and the Austin Young Lawyers Association. When he’s not practicing law, he enjoys freshwater and saltwater fishing, hiking, kayaking, golfing, attending country concerts, and outdoor cooking. He finds inspiration in exploring Texas’s state and national parks, its ranchlands, and the Gulf Coast, places that continually remind him why he’s passionate about advocating for landowners.

Personal

Brandon is a native Texan who has always been passionate about real estate, business, and the great outdoors. Brandon has been an avid golfer and freshwater and saltwater fisherman since his early childhood. He enjoys traveling, hiking in the mountains, and fishing throughout the United States and abroad but is particularly fond of Texas State Parks, Baffin Bay, and Aransas Bay. If the fish aren’t biting, you can likely find Brandon spending his free time at a nearby golf course or in his backyard smoking a brisket and listening to Texas country music with his family, friends, and pets.
