About Laura

Laura Bowen is a fifth-generation cattle rancher from Winkler County, Texas. With deep roots in Texas and a passion for protecting rural landowners, she brings a unique blend of personal and professional experience to her legal practice, advocating for landowners.

Laura holds both a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Master of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics from Texas Tech University, where she developed a strong foundation in the economic and legal aspects of land use, energy development, and agricultural operations.

At Braun & Gresham, Laura focuses on representing landowners in complex negotiations and transactions involving renewable energy, including wind, solar, and battery storage. Her work includes drafting and negotiating lease agreements, conducting due diligence, and advising clients on how to maximize the long-term value of their land while protecting their property rights.

Raised on a working cattle ranch, Laura understands firsthand the importance of land stewardship, generational planning, and maintaining the legacy of family-owned properties. She is committed to helping landowners navigate the opportunities and complexities of renewable energy.

Laura lives in Lakeway, Texas with her husband, Watson, daughter, Blake, and their two dogs. Both her and her husband are West Texas cattle ranchers, and spend their free time visiting their property, hunting, hiking, and taking care of the livestock
